Taiwan Mandarin Localization Voiceover
Taiwan Mandarin Localization Voiceover
A Taiwan Mandarin recording for localized video and audio projects, with attention to audience, terminology and timing.
For localization managers, language-service providers and international production teams
Choose the spoken market as well as the script
A request for “Chinese voiceover” leaves production decisions open. Traditional Chinese characters can appear in content for more than one market, and the script does not determine the spoken language. Taiwan-facing Mandarin content should be briefed with Taiwan Mandarin pronunciation and locally appropriate terminology.
Adrian’s service here is voice recording for localized content. Translation, linguistic review, subtitles, additional voices and production mixing should be separately scoped; they are not automatically included. The language selection guide explains the distinction between script and voice.
Resolve terminology before recording
Supply the approved localized script rather than expecting a recording session to settle an unfinished translation. Include a bilingual reference when it explains the intended meaning, together with a glossary for product names, acronyms and words retained in English.
Check that the script matches localized graphics or interface labels. Differences between on-screen and spoken terminology create confusion even when each version is understandable on its own.
Timing changes the production brief
State whether the recording is free narration, timed to an existing edit or replacing a source-language track. A fixed video needs timestamps, reference audio or a cue sheet. Lip-sync dubbing is a separate requirement to discuss explicitly; a translated script will not necessarily fit the source performance.
For advertising, include territory, channels and usage period. For training, specify clip names and module counts. The commercial and e-learning pages explain these briefs. Hear the homepage voice samples, then email the approved materials to confirm project fit.
